Adipurush has been making all the right buzz for the last few days as it's nearing its release. This has gotten the topic of Nitesh Tiwari's adaptation of Ramayana featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi back into the limelight.
However, recent reports suggest that Nitesh Tiwari has postponed working on the film indefinitely. There were other headlines earlier about how Deepika Padukone had been approached for the role of Sita and Hrithik Roshan had been offered to essay Ravana. However, the former is reportedly playing Draupadi in a movie being discussed by the same production house and Hrithik Roshan decided to move on since no concrete information about the movie was coming to shape.
As quoted in Times of India, one of Hrithik's friends had shared, Hrithik would have loved to play Ravana. Now Hrithik has opted out of the chance to play Raavan, as he had other commitments. Hrithik no longer wants to do one project every two years. He would rather do two projects every year."
