Destiny 2’s latest expansion, Lightfall, brings a new tool or currency to the game called Terminal Overload Keys. These keys are primarily used to unlock the chests at the end of the Terminal Overload activity.
However, obtaining the Terminal Overload Keys is still a mystery for many Destiny 2 players as only a few certain methods grant this currency. So if you're looking for a way to earn them, here's a comprehensive guide on getting the Terminal Overload Keys in Destiny 2 Lightfall.
How to get Terminal Overload keys in Destiny 2 Lightfall
Terminal Overload keys can usually be obtained from public events, looting chests, and completing patrols on Neomuna.
However, it's worth noting that you must first complete Lightfall's story campaign before earning this currency. After purchasing the expansion pack, the campaign mode is initiated automatically upon starting Destiny 2 for the first time.
Upon starting, you'll be given a new quest called Welcome to the Hall of Heroes, which requires you to listen to recorded messages in the location of the same name. After finishing this quest, speak with Quinn Laghari to receive a new quest called Stargazer. Upon completing the Stargazer quest, you'll be able to start farming for Terminal Overload keys.
From now on, you can expect to receive Terminal Overload keys in abundance. Remember that they can stack up to a maximum of five, so it's recommended to participate in Terminal Overload activities.
As we've already mentioned earlier, Terminal Overload keys are used to unlock the chests at the end of the Terminal Overload activity. This activity is basically divided into three levels. Your primary objective during this activity is to take out the enemies, including the Final boss. Once the final boss is down, you'll receive a chest containing a ton of glorious rewards for your efforts.
